The Ems  Associated Passenger Date of Arrival Port of Departure  Zeller, Victoria March 02, 1892 Bremen & Southampton Built by John Elder & Company, Glasgow, Scotland, 1884. 4,933 gross tons; 430 (bp) feet long; 47 feet wide. Compound engine, single screw.  Service speed 17 knots.  1,250 passengers (125 first class, 125 second class, 1,000 third class). Built for North German Lloyd, German flag, in 1884 and named Ems. Bremerhaven-New York service. Sold to Elder-Dempster Lines, British flag, in 1901 and renamed Lake Simcoe. Also used by Canadian Pacific Steamships, also British. Scrapped in 1905.
